Membership of Institute

Membership in international networks

The membership in international network is becoming still more important for the Institute and brings invaluable experience and opportunities for the exchange of experience and good practice. The Institute is currently a member of European Network of Training Organisations for Local and Regional Authorities (ENTO), The Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPACee), Network of European Public Administration Schools and Institutes (NEPASI) and regularly participates on the meetings of Directors of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration (DISPA).

ENTO

European Network of Training Organisations for Local and Regional Authorities

The network was established in January 1995 on the platform of Council of Europe, but gradually became an independent organization. Currently, it has member institutions of 11 countries all over Europe.

ENTO hosts an annual seminar about various topics within the management of local and regional self-governance focused on training. Furthermore, it regularly releases a newsletter, where it describes its activitities and activities of its members, publishes news from Council of Europe and European Union etc. Thus, ENTO members has an opportunity to publish outputs of thein activities or consult their queries and problems with other members.

NISPAcee

 

The activity of The Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe can be divided into several subject ranges.

It serves as a platform for exchange of information and transfer of best practice and it supports research activities and the cooperation of institutions focused on the training in public administration. A traditional international conference is being organized annually, in 2016 already for the twentieth-four time. NISPACee also releases professional publications.  

The steering committee is composed from prior European academicians and public administration experts. The headquarters of secretariat is located in Bratislava, Slovakia.

NEPASI

Network of European Public Administration Schools and Institutes (NEPASI) was founded in 1998 under the title Association of National Schools and Institutes and it comprises national institutes and schools focused on the training of public administration officials. Among founding members belong German, Spanish, Italian, Austrian and Portuguese organization. Subsequently it was enlarged by Greek and British institutions and simultaneously with the Bulgarian organization the Institute for Public Administration Prague joint in 2003.

The cooperation of the network members focuses on planning and organizing of training events and seminars. The essentials NEPASI objective is to support actively an exchange of information and cooperation with respect to training methodology, training documentation, research and publishing activities. Therefore, NEPASI serves as a suitable platform for a realization of common projects and a support of cooperation of its members at applying for grants funded by the EU.

DISPA

The Network of Directors of Schools and Institutes of Public Administration (DISPA) is a prestigious event, which is held twice a year and it is hosted by the institution from the country currently presiding the EU Council. The main point of the programme is a conference, which deals with current issues and challenges in public administration. A representative of the Institute has been taking part on meetings since 2011.
