Training centre
The Reception Desk
The first point of contact for participants in the educational activities organised in the Institute’s Benešov Training Centre is the reception desk. Every visitor will check in at the reception desk by the name and code of the educational event he is to attend, whereupon he is put up and receives a magnetic card that serves as a key to all the services and for booking meals for the duration of his stay.
The receptionists will also help the visitors to order all the services on offer, and provide more detailed information on their stay in the training centre.
The reception desk is also the point where to seek help in case of shortcomings, if any, in accommodation (lamps or heating do not work, etc.) and catering (unclear arrangements for booking meals, proving identity when picking up meals, etc.) and where to raise any unusual requirements. In case of sudden illness or other health problems the receptionists will arrange for treatment at a health facility.
Standard Rooms
Visitors are put up in 90 double rooms.
There are two types of double rooms.
More than one half of the rooms have their own sanitary amenities.
As for the remaining rooms, always two rooms share sanitary amenities.
Suites
There are four suites with above-standard amenities at the training centre. Suites have their own sanitary amenities with either a corner bathtub or wellness shower panel, a bedroom with an office desk/area, a sitting room, and an entrance hall with a closet. The suites are furnished with satellite television sets, refrigerators (alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), telephone lines, etc. Upon request, a PC can be installed in the suite. Rooms do not have facilities for Internet access but the reception desk can provide it on request.
Above-standard accommodation (suites, ‘single’ rooms, i.e. single-bed occupancy, television sets in rooms, etc.) can be provided in case of interest. However, it is absolutely necessary to specify this requirement in the application for the particular training course in question, and the employer must confirm the requirement by his signature on the contract for the training course.
Catering
The training centre’s is able to cater to 320 visitors. Meals are served in the dining room located on the ground floor of the building. There are buffet breakfasts, lunches are served, and dinners are taken without service. There is a choice of three dishes for lunch and two dishes for dinner every day. For training course participants, the employer must pay for its employees’ accommodation and meals before they arrive at the training centre.
Each participant in an educational event places his specific orders for the duration of his stay, including his choice of dishes, on the day of arrival before 1 p.m., using his magnetic card and a touch screen to register his orders. When picking up the meal he has ordered, each visitor only identifies himself when entering the dining room by passing the magnetic card over a digital reader.
Should a visitor want special diet meals, the gluten-free diet or some other types of diet, these can be provided, however, this requirement must be specified in the application for that particular event, and the employer must confirm the requirements in the contract for the training course.
A supplementary catering service is available at a snack bar situated on the ground floor of the lodging quarters, which offers a broad range of hot and cold beverages, the usual range of refreshments, delicatessen, sweets, cigarettes, etc. at off-class times; the snack bar also has the basic toiletries available for visitors. It charges contract prices with VAT.
